Mega Bloks pirate ship conversion pliable veneer by MrVergee Mega Bloks pirate ship conversion pliable veneer by MrVergee
Another quality of the thin veneer is that it is pliable. This Mega Bloks Man o' war was less of a finished ship in its original state, and more of a robust lego block build. I created a new poop deck and forecastle deck and I had to redo the railing. While the veneer is not super bendy, it allows some curving, which I used for the upper side of the hull. I also inserted a small trapdoor in the forecastle deck, since the Man o' war's dragon figurehead actually opens its mouth with a mechanism that I kept accessible under the hatch.

What Glue did you use to keep the veneer in place?

Just any normal glue will do. I woldn't recommend using the hot gluegun, though, since the glue is hard to flatten out.

Oooo!  I'm envious!  Better yet, how much do you charge to buy one?
